Tips Music to invest up to Rs 180+ crore in music biz for FY 2023-24, including 10-12 big-ticket films in Tamil

Tips Music (Tips Industries Limited), India’s most-loved music label, renewed its ties with South film music by acquiring the audio rights of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film-series, Ponniyin Selvan: I (PS-1) and Ponniyin Selvan: 2 (PS-2 ) in 2022. The success with PS-1 and other Tamil films has given them the impetus to focus and strengthen their market in the South in the new financial year. The music label plans to invest Rs 180+ crore for the FY 2023-24, which includes music rights of big-ticket films in the South.   Tips recently launched the music of the upcoming film, PS-2 amidst much fanfare. Talking about the music label’s journey in South, Kumar Taurani, Managing Director - Tips Industries Ltd. (Music) said, “Tips, which dabbled in non-film music since 1988, entered Hindi film music market in 1988. We then got into music rights for South films with Kannathil Muthamittal (2002). Apart from a few more films in Tamil and Telugu. We also acquired two music labels in Telugu market

Cloth bags were given to all students in Chennai primary school

Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board, Ambattur office is creating awareness on ban of one time use and throwaway plastics periodically. In continuation of their activities, cloth bags were given to all students in Chennai primary school, Mogappair west by Mr. Alagarasan, Founder MGGERC Trust in the presence of Mrs. Akhila, Coordinator, Arivukkan magazine.   Mrs. Akhila explained the roles and responsibilities of students in curbing the one time use and throwaway plastics from their daily usage.   TNPCB plans to provide such cloth bags as part of Meendum Manja Pai Movement in other schools and colleges too this week.

We One Orchestra group's music album Bharat Putran is going to be released soon in Chennai.   The much awaited album will capture the untold stories and unforgettable moments of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji's life. Written and directed by magician Shornur Ravi, the songs in this album are composed by Mr. Thomas Palakan.   Singers are Mr.   Rajan Kavalam and Usha Raj. Eminent people from the film and music industry participated in the pooja recording of the album which was solemnized at Santom Suvi Royal Studio yesterday.   Witnessing all invited guests and friends, Dr. V. TANKER (Tamilnad Kidney Research) Foundation is a registered non-profit charitable Organization started in June 1993 with the aim of helping under-privileged patients with kidney disease by giving Subsidized Dialysis and one time financial help for medication, investigation and transplantation and spread awareness about kidney disease. Four New Machines have been donated by Cognizant Foundation and one new machine by the Janakibai Pahalsingh Bajaj Charitable Trust. Cognizant Foundation, a great supporter of TANKER through its CSR has so far donated more than 25 dialysis machines to all the centers of TANKER Foundation. The machines were inaugurated by AKS.PDG.Rtn. SvRm.Ramanathan, Rtn. Project Nanneer: Restoring Nagan Thangal Lake

Tata Communications has partnered with Pitchandikulam Forest officials to rejuvenate and restore the Nagan Thangal Lake for effective groundwater recharge and provide access to safe drinking water for the community in Upparapalayam, Pothur village in Tiruvallur district. The Nanneer project focusses on the restoration work which includes lake deepening, plantation of indigenous trees, shrubs, reeds, setting up of landforms, such as bird islands to attract and enhance the biodiversity. The project benefits around 12,000 people of which 60 per cent are from marginalised communities. The lake, spread over 15 acres, is desilted to a depth of 1.5 m in 4 acres. Recent rain has contributed to 1,00,000 cubic meters of fresh water in the lake, helping it reach its full capacity. More than 4000 indigenous tropical dry evergreen forest trees and shrubs have been planted around the lake leading to increased biodiversity in the area.
