A 25 Year Voyage Through Rhythm: A Priceless Guru Nanak School Reunion

Reconnecting with long-lost classmates, Teachers and School staff after a quarter-century has stirred deep feelings of nostalgia and priceless emotions. Anticipation filled the air as we eagerly awaited the long-awaited gathering on 25 th of November2023 at Hotel WESTIN, wondering how many would join us for this special occasion. A month before the anticipated reunion, few schoolmates addressed as the Core Team took the initiative to meticulously plan and organize the event, leaving an indelible mark on each of our hearts. The immediate reaction was one of overwhelming excitement, with tears in our eyes and smiles lighting up our faces. As an added delight, we collectively revisited our beloved Alma Mater, reviving cherished moments etched deep within our souls.Our school held tremendous significance, even those who ventured down different paths, departing in 7th, 8th, 9 th or 10th grade, still share an unbreakable bond with our iconic establishment, GURU NANAK MATRICLUATION SCHO

“Shining the Light of Hope - The Healing Touch”- Book Release function

T ANKER (Tamilnad Kidney Research) Foundation is a registered non-profit charitable Organization started in June 1993 with the aim of helping under-privileged patients with kidney disease by giving Subsidized Dialysis and one time financial help for medication, investigation and transplantation and spread awareness about kidney disease. Dr. Georgi Abraham has inspired patients and staff (who are our Angels on Earth) to write their stories - how they overcame their battle with kidney disease. TANKER Foundation is publishing this book in both English and Tamil – “Shining the Light of Hope - The Healing Touch”. The book was released by Dr. J. Radhakrishnan, I.A.S, Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation. Workshop to create awareness on Air Pollution

As per the instructions from the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate change, Govt of India, 104 polluted cities are identified in the country and Thoothukudi, Chennai, Madurai and Trichy are in Tamil Nadu. Awareness rallies, human chain, workshops involving school, college students and awareness run to minimize Air pollution were conducted since November 2022 in various areas of the city. In continuation of this mission to create awareness among school students, a drawing competition was conducted jointly by Department of Environment, TNPCB, Greater Chennai corporation and Central Pollution control board by involving 256 students of National Green Corps (NGC) from 42 schools in South Chennai region. Training for Govt Frontline Workers ANM's was a rewarding experience

Family Planning Association of India, Chennai Branch organised an information and motivational cum knowledge sharing training program for ANM's on 28 th October 2023 at Urban Family Welfare Center in K.K.Nagar, Chennai.   Mr.Ramiah, BSC member FPAI welcomed the gathering. Mr.M.Munavar Basha, consultant FPAI gave a brief introduction.   DrAlarmelmangai, Medical officer,  UFWC delivered an interesting important talk on handling stress, improving self care and maintaining a friendly approach to survivors using real life examples.   Ms.N.Leelavathy, Chairperson, FPAI presided over the training program and presented participation certificates. Mr. N.Venkatesan Finance Advisor, FPAI delivered the vote of thanks. The training program has been a rewarding experience to all.
