18th Education Excellence Award Ceremony

THE IMMACULATE along with Rotary Club of Madras Silver Beach celebrated its 18th Education Excellence Awards on the 28th December 2022. The Chief for the evening Rtn.R.K.Duraiswamy – Businessman gave a speech on the importance of education & also congratulated the Awardees. The celebration was graced by Rtn.Prem Kumar –Secretary, Rtn.Charlie Jacob - Vocational Services Director & Rtn.Chellam Devadoss – Club Trainer. 

Mrs. Debbie Westcott, the foundress honoured Rtn. R.K.Duraiswamy. The Awardees honoured during the celebration were namely, Prof.Jean Ida Gunaseeli – SRM (M.A., M.Phil.,Ph.D. in ELT), Dr.Antonysamy –Loyola College (M.A., M.Phil, M.Ed., Ph.D.), Prof.Uma Ramanathan – SRM (M.Arch., Ph.D.) and  Mr.Aravind.V – AMS (M.Arch.,Ph.D). 

The founder of THE IMMACULATE Debie Avilaa Westcott Past President of Rotary Club of Madras Silver Beach honoured  educators, who have striven to impart quality education & mold responsible citizens, who have gone on to leave an impression in society. The Institute has been bestowing The Education Excellence Awards upon those in the noble profession, every year since inception. The event was attended by fellow Rotarians and faculty of THE IMMACULATE."Those who educate children well are more to be honoured than parents, for these give only life, those the art of living well" - Aristotle. 

All over the world, Educators are appreciated and honoured for their contribution to society as well as for imparting knowledge, guiding and shaping the minds and careers of students and working professionals. The 18th Education Excellence Awards Celebration began at 6 pm with a special prayer invoking the Almighty’s blessings followed by the welcome address by Debie Avilaa Westcott – Founder, THE IMMACULATE. The Celebrations was concluded with the vote of thanks given by Rtn.Chellam Devadoss
