TANKER Foundation donated BP machines to Dr Jayanth Murali 's Office, Ashok Nagar, Chennai

TANKER Foundation, towards its Awareness and Prevention drive handed over 50 Electronic BP Machines on 06.09.2022 to DGP Dr K Jayanth Murali IPS at his Office in Ashok Nagar, Chennai.  Dr Georgi Abraham, Founder Trustee of TANKER Foundation, handed over the BP machines. Dr.Georgi, with an aim of taking care of our Police force who are front line workers and who strive to maintain peace and order, proposed the idea of distributing BP apparatus to all the police stations in a phased manner throughout Tamilnadu. High Blood pressure, not attended to, is one of the main causes for kidney failure. We propose to distribute booklets along with the machines for the readings to be recorded and follow up with them, to caution and advice those who are found to be at risk. TANKER  distributed over 500 machines in the next few months.

Grateful to DGP Dr Jayanth Murali for graciously running 3 full marathon to raise funds for this project. He will be running the 4th full marathon for TANKER on 18th September. TANKER also thanks Mrs Rajalakshmi Ravi, Head,TANKER Awareness and Prevention Programme, (TAPP) team, M/s Centaur  Pharmaceuticals  for donating 300 BP apparatus, Mr. Narotham Reddy, MD Medsmart, Mr.Ramesh Victor, COO Medsmart and Ms. Vidya Arumugam, Independent Strategist and our donors who have all been a great support in this project.

Award ceremony to honour outstanding achievements

An award evening ceremony titled “PURASKARA SANDHYA 2023” organised by Indian Magic Academy was held in a grand magical manner on 3 rd September 2023 at Madras Kerala Samajam Hall, Chennai.   Film star Seema inaugurated the award ceremony. The chief guest, Hon. Minister of Tamil Nadu Shri. P. K. Shekar Babu along with actress Seema jointly distributed the Mantrika Shrestha Award, Mantrika Ratna Award, and the Overall Contribution Awards at the event. The event was presided over by Shri E.
