Inauguration of PAHT - Panchayat Against Human Trafficking in Thiruvallur District

 

PAHT - Panchayat Against Human Trafficking in Thiruvallur District was inaugurated on 5th May 2022 by Dr.Alby John Varghese, I.A.S, District Collector, Thiruvallur,Dr.P.M.Nair, IPS. (Retd.), International Expert, Human Trafficking Matters, Dr.VarunKumar ,IPS, Superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur, District at GDP Hall, Ground Floor, Collector's Office, Thiruvallur.

Inauguration was by Dr.Alby John Varghese, I.A.S, District Collector, Thiruvallur&Dr.P.M.Nair, IPS. (Retd.),Dr.Varun Kumar ,IPS, Superintendent of Police,Thiruvallur, District along with Panchayat Presidents and A.J.Hariharan, Secretary – I.C.W.O.

(Retd.),of Police,Thiruvallur, District and A.J.Hariharan, Secretary – I.C.W.O. Speaking on the occasion Dr.P.M.Nair, IPS.(Retd.) said  Today four pillars are together in Thiruvallur District, District  Collector, Supernatant of Police, NGO ICWO and 10 Panchayat Chairman / Members. They can jointly achieve the goal of child labour free, child trafficking free and child abuse free Thiruvallur District in India.

Speaking on the occasion Dr.Alby John Varghese, I.A.S, District Collector, Thiruvallur said I am pleased to initiate  PAHT-Panchayat Against Human Trafficking in Thiruvallur District in 10 Panchayats. We are committed to take the PAHT throughout the districts. He appreciate the street theater performance by ICWO team

Speaking on the occasion Mr.A.J.Hariharan, Secretary-ICWO said the panchayat role is vital in preventing human trafficking in Tamilnadu. The success of the efforts is based on the partnership with various stakeholders in the District and in the state for a effective control of human trafficking particularly women and children. ICWO is fully committed to take this initiative with the mentorship of Dr.P.M.Nair, IPS. (Retd.), International Expert, Human Trafficking Mattersin successfully control and to STOP human trafficking in Tamilnadu. Welcome address by Mr.A.J.Hariharan, Secretary – I.C.W.O and Vote of Thanks by Mr.M.Gnanam,  President – Nedumaram Panchayat, Thiruvalangadu Block. Indian Community Welfare Organisation-I.C.W.O. a non governmental organisation working for various developmental projects with specific focus on women and children for the past 27 years in Chennai.

The 10th annual exhibition of paintings titled   SPROUTS -2023 showcasing beautiful   artworks   done by   creative and talented disciples of P.D.Paul was inaugurated on 1 st May 2023 in a grand and excellent manner at   Lakshana Art Gallery, Abhiramapuram, Chennai. The exhibition presented by Corner Stone, features a number of colourful paintings by artists, Subirthana, Stephanie Samuel, Saadhwishri, Poorna, Jairus and Jabez Kennady, Advika and guest artist Mr.Viswanathan. The participating artists have done fantastic paintings t based on various themes.
