TANKER Haemodialysis Machine in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute

A new TANKER dialysis Machine was inaugurated by Dr. V. Manoharan who gave the donation in memory of his parents Thiru R. Venkatraya Chettiar and Thirumathi Nachiyar Ammal in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, Pondicherry, on Friday 02nd July 2021.Dr.Manoharan an Agricultural Scientist said that he wanted to give back to society and was happy that the machine would be utilized for free dialysis for the needy in Pondicherry.

Dr.Georgi Abraham, Founder Trustee, TANKER Foundation spoke and was thankful to Dr. Manoharan and also to MGM Hospital, Pondicherry for housing the machine and helping the underprivileged with kidney disease and thanked all the staff of MGM Hospital for their selfless service.

Mrs. Latha Kumaraswami , Managing Trustee of TANKER Foundation gave an update of TANKER and said that so far TANKER has done more than 4.16 lakh free and subsidized dialysis through their 12 dialysis centres thanks to valuable support from the CMCHIS, Greater Chennai Corporation and various Rotary Clubs ,Freemasons and other valuable donors. TANKER has given donations of 3.39 Lakhs for medications and investigation costs. TANKER has conducted 1279 Awareness programmes reaching out to 1.8 lakh people and over 35793 people have been screened for kidney disease. Dr. Nirmal, Director of MGM Hospital Pondicherry, also thanked Dr. Manoharan and TANKER Foundation.
