Amazon is committed to boost the growth of Tamil Nadu sellers in e-commerce, during the Festive Season

To ensure the success of the 2024 festive season for sellers in Tamil Nadu and across India, Amazon has introduced various initiatives and innovations. Sellers will benefit from a significant reduction in selling fees of 3% to 12% across categories like groceries, fashion, and electronics, enabling them to increase earnings and offer competitive prices to customers. More than 100,000 sellers from Tamil Nadu are expected to showcase their products on Amazon. in during the festive season, reaching customers across all serviceable pin codes in India. 

Gaurav Bhatnagar, Director of Sales at Amazon India, emphasized the commitment to empowering SMBs in Tamil Nadu through e-commerce. Amazon is leveraging AI and ML to help sellers optimize operations, improve product listings, and provide recommendations and promotions. New tools like Sale Event Planner and features such as Self-Service Registration 2. 0 support sellers in managing sale events and improving inventory planning. Investments in infrastructure, including sortation centers and delivery stations across Tamil Nadu, facilitate fast and reliable deliveries to customers. 

An example of a seller benefiting from Amazon's platform is Kailash Kumar, owner of 'Skygenix' in Chennai. By selling online on Amazon, Kailash has seen a 50% growth in his business by improving his product listings and utilizing features like on boarding support and delivery options. Amazon's support for SMBs in Tamil Nadu aims to drive business growth and create employment opportunities in the state.
