INAUGURATION OF THE RO PLANT AND COTS FOR THE REKHA MEMORIAL RENNY ABRAHAM AMBATTUR ROTARY TANKER DIALYSIS UNIT

TANKER (Tamilnad Kidney Research) Foundation is a registered non-profit charitable Organization started in June 1993 with the aim of helping under-privileged patients with kidney disease by giving Subsidized Dialysis and one time financial help for medication, investigation and transplantation and spread awareness about kidney disease.

The RO Plant for the Ambattur unit and Cots for 4 other TANKER units donated by ICICI Foundation was inaugurated on 16th February 2023 by Mrs. Aarthi Kannan, Zonal Head-GIB, ICICI Bank Ltd in the presence of Mr. Raja, Regional Head- GIB, ICICI Bank Ltd. and other ICICI team members. This generous donation which amounted to over Rs 40 Lakhs will be beneficial to all patients.

TANKER Foundation Managing Trustee, Mrs Latha A. Kumaraswami, welcomed the donors and gave an update of TANKER and said that so far TANKER has done more than 5 lakh free and subsidized dialysis through their 14 dialysis centres thanks to valuable support from the CMCHIS, Greater Chennai Corporation and various Rotary Clubs, Free Masons, Round Table and other valuable donors. TANKER has given donations of Rs.4 crores for medications and investigation costs. TANKER has conducted 1341 Awareness programmes reaching out to 1.92 lakh people and over 37,734 people have been screened for kidney disease. She also deeply appreciated all the staff of TANKER and called them Angels on Earth who are doing selfless service.

Mrs. Aarthi Kannan of  ICICI Bank Ltd spoke and greatly appreciated the dedicated service by TANKER and their wonderful staff. She said that ICICI Foundation was committed to helping the underprivileged through various projects. TANKER Foundation Head Admin, Mrs Vasanthi Ravichander, proposed the vote of thanks. The RO Plant and Cots were inaugurated at The Rekha Memorial Renny Abraham Ambattur Rotary TANKER Foundation Dialysis Unit. Award ceremony to honour outstanding achievements

An award evening ceremony titled “PURASKARA SANDHYA 2023” organised by Indian Magic Academy was held in a grand magical manner on 3 rd September 2023 at Madras Kerala Samajam Hall, Chennai.   Film star Seema inaugurated the award ceremony. The chief guest, Hon. Minister of Tamil Nadu Shri. P. K.
