Khelo Masters Games Federation welcomed Court decision towards enriching Sports


The recent Madras High Court order by Justice Mahadevan has been very well received by the Sport fraternity. The Khelo Masters Games Federation of Tamil Nadu welcomed this decision. Majority of the sporting bodies in Tamil Nadu are ill represented by non-sports persons who are quite clueless about the needs of athletes let alone promoting the sport or creating champions. Such a decision will make sure suitable personnel will represent the sporting bodies thus paving way to a more systematic administration geared towards enriching the sport, the athlete and cultivating the true potential of available talent. The sporting bodies must be headed by persons having represented India and the very least at least are senior national medalists. 


The Khelo Masters Games Federation is represented by Hockey Olympian Adam Sinclair (President), International Basket baller Purushothaman (Secretary), Padmashri Hockey Olympian V. Bhaskaran, Padmashri Indian Basket baller Anitha Pauldurai, Olympian Riyaz, Olympian Boxer V. Devarajan, Indian Footballer Raman Vijayan, Asian medalist Dr. Natrajan, Olympian Arjuna Awardee Sebastian Xavier, Indian Hockey player Elena Edward, 5 other Olympians and 9 International Athletes. In a joint press release, they stated that if the Government takes action and implements this landmark ruling, then many athletes in Tamil Nadu can achieve their true potential and the state can become a breeding ground for future Olympians and champions. All sports personalities gave red carpet welcome to the verdict.

An award evening ceremony titled “PURASKARA SANDHYA 2023” organised by Indian Magic Academy was held in a grand magical manner on 3 rd September 2023 at Madras Kerala Samajam Hall, Chennai.   Film star Seema inaugurated the award ceremony.
