An unforgettable Grand and Royal Felicitation function for Padmashri Awardee Mr.S.Damodaran

 

Initiatives of HIV/AIDS-Net (IHN) is a network of 225 NGOs/CBOs working in HIV/AIDS prevention care and support program in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry. IHN Felicitated Padmashri Awardee Mr.S.Damodaran, CEO and Founder, Gramalaya as part of NGO network in a grand unforgettable manner on 12th Feb 2022 at Madras Reporters’ Guild, Ommandurar Government Estate, Chennai.

The grand function was started with welcoming Mr.S.Damodaran, CEO and Founder, Gramalaya on royal chariot towards venue at Madras Press Guild, Chepauk, Chennai. Hon., Justice Dr. T.N. Vallinayagam in his address wished Mr. S.Damodaran a long lasting an ever forgettable fame like Gandhi, Mother Thersa and Nelson Mandela.

Mr. A. Baktavatchalam, Chairperson, IHN, and Executive Director, ARM, who delivered welcome address and expressed his feedback on working experiences on HIV / AIDS 20 years, back Mr. S. Damodaran to serve the Truckers along the Highways. Dr. T. Ilenchezhian, National Development Consultant, in this felicitation address mentioned that Padma Shri Awardee Mr. S.Damodaran,   a different man, using different strategies.  His sustainable works for the more than 3 decades has created many Open Defecation Free Villages.  So far, 3225 people who has been awarded Padma Shri so far.  In 2022, 22 people awarded for social work.  Mr. S.Damodaran is the only person in Tamil Nadu which to have received this fame. The award is the 35 years of selfless service and he dedicated this award all his all the employees of Gramalaya, which reads his magnanimity and his love towards his employees.

Dr. M.Baskaran, President, ICWO, Chennai who mentioned that Mr. S.Damodaran has added fame to his city, state and the country.  He also praised honorable Justice Mr. Vallinayagam.  He mentioned that Mr.S.Damodaran is a name talked to in the Andal Pasuram. He also mentioned that the felicitation is not to the Mr. Damodaran, being a friend of him, the felicitation is for all of us.

Dr. K.Panchaksharam alias Panchu,  Founder Secretary, SIPA, requested Mr. S. Damodaran to extend his excellent the work on Sanitation and Water to the needy rural villages of Tamil Nadu. Mr. V. Arunagiri, Bharathi & Bharathi Advocate and Consultants, a High court advocate and childhood friend of  Mr. S. Damodaran remembered his excellent works right from 1980 and he will surely be adored by International Awards also.


Mr. A.J.Hariharan, General Secretary – IHN and Founder Secretary, ICWO, in his closing speech mentioned that talking abourtMr. S. Damodaran, will need days and so, he will not be able to find time and wished Mr.  S.Damodaran all the very best and assured that he will also strive for awards by working like Mr. S. Damodaran. Ms. Mercy Annapoorani, Executive Director, IHN & Director, Blossom Trust, mentioned that she was happy to say that she also a citizen of Tiruchirappalli from where Mr. S. Damodaran is also living. I wish all the Social Service organization to learn the selfless and transparent works of Mr. S. Damodaran and expect glories to the social service organization also. Mr. S. Damodaran while accepting the felicitation mentioned that all this work are meant for the rural poor and he dedicated this award all the fellow employees of Gramalaya and the media persons who were very supporting all his work. Mr. Pon Manoharan, Treasurer, IHN and Director, Pache Trust, Madurai, acted as master of ceremonies and recollected his friendship with Mr. S. Damodaran.

Isidores' love story is shattered when his wife is revealed to be a liar, cheat and unfaithful

Award ceremony to honour outstanding achievements

An award evening ceremony titled “PURASKARA SANDHYA 2023” organised by Indian Magic Academy was held in a grand magical manner on 3 rd September 2023 at Madras Kerala Samajam Hall, Chennai.   Film star Seema inaugurated the award ceremony. The chief guest, Hon. Minister of Tamil Nadu Shri. P. K. Shekar Babu along with actress Seema jointly distributed the Mantrika Shrestha Award, Mantrika Ratna Award, and the Overall Contribution Awards at the event. The event was presided over by Shri E.
