Rich tributes were paid to Padma Shri Dr K M Cherian, a famous cardiologist and pioneer in cardiac surgery, who recently passed away. Amazon India partners with Youth4Jobs to provide e-commerce market access for women with disabilities

Amazon India is collaborating with Youth4Jobs Foundation, an organization focused on helping youth with disabilities work towards a poverty-free life in India. The aim is to support women sellers with disabilities leverage Amazon.in to grow their business online.   Through its Amazon Saheli program, it will bridge the gap between talented women with disabilities and wider market opportunities, such that they can grow their business in the digital economy.   Amazon Saheli program was launched in 2017, with the aim to enhance the awareness and accessibility of locally made products from women entrepreneurs and local women-owned businesses in India. TANKER’s World Kidney Day 2025

A Road Show was staged on the Marina beach. Actor and TANKER Trustee Ms Revathy inaugurated the show and spoke a few words on World Kidney Day emphasizing the importance of not self-medicating and urged members of the public to consult a doctor before taking any medicines. The road show was attended by many morning walkers.   Over 3000 World Kidney Day Caps and Brochures were distributed in Marina Beach,Tower park, Anna Nagar and in and around all of TANKER's 14 dialysis Units in Chennai , Madurai,Vellore and Thirupur. The staff and members of the public enthusiastically participated and a lot of information on kidneys was shared. Screening camps were also conducted at various places by the Tanker Awareness and Prevention Programme team.  

Two New Haemodialysis Machines at The Corporation U.P.H., RCCT TANKER Dialysis Unit, Retteri, Chennai

The two new dialysis machines at Retteri was inaugurated on 14th March 2025 by Mr. Vivek Rajagopalan, Trustee , Dishaa Foundation at the Corporation U.P.H.C, RCCT TANKER Dialysis Unit, located on Zone - III, Gangaiamman Koil Street, Lakshmipuram, Retteri, Chennai - 600099. The Retteri dialysis unit is supported by the Greater Chennai Corporation, Rotary Club of Chennai Towers, the CMCHIS and many valuable donors. This generous contribution will significantly benefit underprivileged TANKER patients.   Mr Vivek Rajagopalan said he was deeply appreciative of the work TANKER Foundation does for the needy with kidney failure.
