This Diwali season, Swiggy Rebrands itself to ‘Sweety’ to celebrate India’s sweet obsession

Swiggy, India's pioneering on-demand convenience platform, today unveiled one-of-its-kind festive brand makeover. Recognizing the country's shared love affair with mithai, Swiggy playfully rebranded itself as ‘Sweety’, launching its specially designed campaign for Diwali, across digital and physical assets.

As a part of the campaign, Sweety delivery partners were spotted across cities wearing bright ‘Sweety’ shirts and carrying customized ‘Sweety’ delivery bags, bringing the rebranding straight to customers' attention. The campaign was also featured in various outdoor hoardings across cities. The hoardings with ‘Sweety Sweety Sweety Mujhe Log Bolein’ went live in prominent locations across India. In addition to this, during this period, every delivery partner’s name on the app appears with a prefix ‘Sweety’. Also, Swiggy’s social media handles changed their profile picture to showcase the name change.

Talking about the campaign, Mayur Hola, Vice President- Brand, Swiggy shared “During the Diwali season, we observe a spike in the orders for Indian sweets, as mithai continues to be an integral part of celebrations during this festive week across Indian households. This sweet campaign is aimed at capturing this pulse of festive consumer behavior.

Beyond the name change, Sweety honors the cultural traditions, shared celebrations and love for traditional sweets that brings India together during this week of festivities. Sweety will continue to deliver delight, laughter, sweetness to every doorstep this season.” Sweety is yet another homage from Swiggy to its legacy of celebrating cultural moments. By capturing both the humor of the season and the heart of local communities, Sweety ensures that this Diwali is not just celebrated, but delivered with an extra dose of sweetness.
