Hinduja Housing Finance Appoints Vivek Kannan as Chief Executive Officer

Hinduja Housing Finance Limited (HHF), a subsidiary of Hinduja Leyland Finance Limited, has announced the appointment of Vivek Kannan as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 30, 2026. He succeeds Sachin Pillai, Managing Director of Hinduja Leyland Finance Limited, who steps down as Managing Director of HHF effective October 29, 2026, and will continue to serve on Hinduja Housing Finance's Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Vivek, who joined Hinduja Housing Finance as Chief Operating Officer in 2020, has played a key role in the Company's growth and transformation, contributing to the strengthening of its business and operational capabilities.

With over two decades of experience in the financial services sector, Vivek has held leadership positions across organisations including Motilal Oswal, DHFL, Citibank, Barclays and GE Capital. His experience spans various aspects of financial services, bringing a comprehensive understanding of the lending business and its evolving dynamics.

As Chief Executive Officer, Vivek will oversee the Company's overall business performance, credit, collections, operations, risk, compliance and people functions. He will focus on strengthening the Company's market presence, enhancing operational efficiencies and driving sustainable growth while continuing to expand access to housing finance.

Commenting on the appointment, Dheeraj G. Hinduja, Chairman, Hinduja Housing Finance Limited, said, "Vivek has been an integral part of Hinduja Housing Finance's growth journey since joining the Company in 2020. His industry experience, understanding of the business and leadership capabilities position him well to lead the Company into its next phase of growth. I am confident that under his leadership, Hinduja Housing Finance will continue to strengthen its capabilities and deliver long-term value to its customers and stakeholders."

The Board also acknowledged Sachin Pillai's leadership and contributions to the Company's growth and development. In his continuing role as Non-Executive Director, Sachin will provide guidance to the Company as it progresses through its next phase.
