Godrej Enterprises Group Launches 'Udaan' to Strengthen India's Manufacturing Ecosystem Through MSME Capability Building

Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) launched 'Udaan', an industry-led supplier capability-building initiative developed in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to strengthen India's manufacturing ecosystem through MSME capability development. The programme brings together supplier partners from Aligarh and equips them with a structured Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) journey aimed at enhancing operational excellence, resource productivity, collaboration and global competitiveness.

Under Udaan, Godrej Enterprises Group, in collaboration with the CII TPM Club of India, has developed a dedicated TPM curriculum tailored for MSMEs. The programme will provide participating supplier partners with access to specialist TPM consultants who will support on-ground implementation and capability building. The cluster-based approach focuses on strengthening processes, eliminating operational losses, improving productivity and building a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Progress under the programme will be monitored through quarterly reviews, periodic assessments and factory audits conducted by CII representatives and industry experts. Supplier partners that successfully complete the programme will be formally recognised by both Godrej Enterprises Group and CII for their achievements.

With Udaan, Godrej Enterprises Group becomes the first company in the hardware industry and among a select few organisations in India to extend a structured TPM excellence programme across its supplier ecosystem.

By enabling MSMEs to enhance productivity, operational capabilities and competitiveness, the initiative aims to strengthen India's manufacturing value chain and contribute to India's ambition of becoming a globally competitive manufacturing powerhouse.

The launch of Udaan reflects Godrej Enterprises Group's longstanding commitment to manufacturing excellence, supplier development and MSME empowerment. By investing in capability building across its value chain, GEG is not only strengthening supply chain resilience but also contributing to a more competitive, innovative and globally relevant manufacturing ecosystem for India.

The participating supplier partners have been nurtured by Godrej Enterprises Group over the last six years. Having successfully completed the Partnership Competitiveness Programme (PCP), achieved Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) Certification and embarked on Lean Manufacturing Certification, these enterprises are now progressing to the next stage through Udaan. Anglo-Indian Community continues to be remembered and supported

On August 27, 2026, the Anglo-Indian Suburban Front and Anglos In The Wind convened a meeting for the Anglo-Indian community at the Don Bosco Shrine Hall in Ayanavaram, Chennai.
