Complan deepens relevance with a new generation; launches ‘India ka Complan Boy’ to celebrate Vaibhav Sooryavanshi
Complan, the nutrition drink brand from Zydus Wellness, has unveiled its latest campaign, ‘India ka Complan Boy’, featuring its brand ambassador and India’s young cricket sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. With this campaign, Complan seeks to strengthen its contemporary relevance while building on an iconic brand legacy through the extraordinary story of a prodigy whose dreams, discipline and determination have taken him to the national stage.
By bringing together a familiar equity and a new-generation achiever, the campaign aims to deepen the brand’s connection with a new generation of families. For decades, the ‘Complan Boy’ has been synonymous with children who dream big and families who support those dreams. As children’s lives and aspirations evolve, Complan sees an opportunity to make this equity relevant in a new cultural context and reinforce Complan’s role as a trusted nutrition partner for children. The new campaign shifts the conversation from an iconic advertising character to a real-life young achiever through Vaibhav’s extraordinary journey to demonstrate what the Complan Boy stands for today.
At just 15, Vaibhav became the
youngest cricketer to debut for India in international cricket, surpassing
Sachin Tendulkar’s long-standing record. He has continued to make his mark on
the international stage, including scoring his maiden T20 half-century against
Zimbabwe in July. His rapid rise and relentless preparation make him a powerful
representation of the new-age ‘India ka Complan Boy’.
Speaking about the campaign,
Tarun Arora, CEO and Whole Time Director, Zydus Wellness, said, “Brands stay
relevant when they continue to evolve with the people they serve. At Complan,
we have a distinctive legacy of celebrating children who dream big, and today’s
generation is dreaming in new and different ways. Vaibhav represents that
evolution beautifully. His journey is a story of ambition, preparation,
perseverance, and family support. These values have always been at the heart of
Complan. With ‘India ka Complan Boy’ we are refreshing a much-loved brand
equity and bringing it into the lives of a new generation in a way that feels
authentic to them.”
At the heart of the campaign is
Complan’s ‘Thoda Plan, Thoda Complan’ philosophy and the belief that big dreams
are realised through everyday preparation, discipline, family support, and the
right nutrition.
For Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the
association marks a full-circle moment. “Playing
in the IPL and getting the opportunity to represent India at such a young age
is something I feel very grateful for. I know I still have a long way to go and
a lot to learn. Whatever I have achieved so far has only been possible because
of the support of my family, coaches, and teammates. We are three brothers who
have grown up with Complan in the house, so becoming ‘India ka Complan Boy’
feels really special. I hope it encourages other children to dream big, work
hard, and always remain grounded,” he said.
The campaign is led by a digital
film that captures defining moments from Vaibhav’s journey, from his hours of
preparation to the milestones and records that have made him a national
cricketing sensation. While celebrating his success, the film reinforces the
idea that extraordinary achievements are built through everyday effort.
