TANKER Foundation received a CSR donation of ₹25 Lakhs from GRT Group at an event held on 07th July 2026 at Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels, Chennai

Mr. G. Rajendran, Chairman of GRT Group, Mr G R Ananthapadmanabhan, Mr G R Radhakrishnan and Mrs Jayashree Vummidi Managing Directors personally handed over a ₹25 Lakhs donation to TANKER Foundation during a special programme held as part of GRT’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. As part of their broader commitment to community welfare, the company contributed a total of ₹8.5 crores to 15 NGOs working across various sectors. 

This generous support to TANKER will significantly enhance access to life-saving transplant and dialysis treatment and essential healthcare services for underprivileged patients battling kidney disease.

 For several years, TANKER Foundation has actively worked toward kidney patient welfare through dialysis services, awareness programmes, screening camps, and various healthcare initiatives benefiting economically disadvantaged communities. Latha A. Kumaraswami, Managing Trustee of TANKER Foundation gave the TANKER Update and conveyed TANKER's heartfelt gratitude to GRT Group for their generosity and continued support to TANKER and their patients.She also expressed her gratitude to the CMCHIS, the GCC, Rotary Clubs and other valuable donors for their consistent and generous support. Mrs Lakshmi Rao,Trustee TANKER Foundation was also present.

INAUGURATION OF A NEW HAEMODIALYSIS MACHINE FOR THE REKHA MEMORIAL RENNY ABRAHAM AMBATTUR ROTARY TANKER DIALYSIS UNIT

  17 th  February 2024    TANKER Foundation runs 14 dialysis units, 11 in Chennai and one each in Madurai, Vellore and Tiruppur.  The Ambattur dialysis unit is supported by the Ambattur Rotary Club and Hospital, the CMCHIS and many valuable donors.    M/s. Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company Ltd have donated 1 dialysis machine and 3 defibrillators. The machine was inaugurated by   Mr. Clement Williams, Senior Vice President- FIG   and  Mr. Pawan Soni ,Chief Manager - CSR   . Mr Williams said that he had first hand experience with kidney disease and was very appreciative of the TANKER Team work.
