New Hemodialysis Machine inaugurated at The Madras Medical Mission
Tamilnad Kidney Research (TANKER) Foundation, in association with The Madras Medical Mission (MMM), inaugurated a new Hemodialysis Machine at the MMM Dialysis Unit today in memory of the late Prof. Rajan Hariharan, a distinguished Professor of Surgery and an esteemed member of the medical fraternity.
The
machine has been generously donated by the family of Prof. Rajan Hariharan as a
tribute to his remarkable life and service to society. This contribution will
help provide life-saving dialysis treatment to hundreds of kidney patients,
particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The
inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Sarojini Hariharan and Mr. Sivakumar Hariharan from Prof. Rajan Hariharan's
family, Dr. Georgi Abraham,
Founder Trustee and President of TANKER Foundation, Dialysis unit Staff
of The Madras Medical Mission, and other distinguished guests.The machine was
formally inaugurated by Dr.
Sarojini Hariharan.
Speaking
on the occasion, Dr. Georgi
Abraham expressed gratitude to the donors for choosing to
commemorate Prof. Rajan Hariharan's legacy through a meaningful healthcare initiative
that will continue to benefit kidney patients for years to come.
TANKER
Foundation has been working for over three decades to support kidney patients
through affordable and subsidized dialysis services, patient welfare
programmes, awareness initiatives, and preventive healthcare activities.
The
addition of this new hemodialysis machine will strengthen the dialysis services
available at The Madras Medical Mission and enable more TANKER patients, as
well as other underprivileged patients suffering from chronic kidney disease,
to receive timely and life-saving treatment.
