WORLD HEALTH DAY celebrated at Nanganallur in a grand manner

WORLD HEALTH DAY was observed at Nanganallur in a splendid fashion. Honored Guest Dr. V. SUNDAR, a highly esteemed pulmonologist, has presented a keynote address emphasizing the significance of elderly individuals require particular attention, especially concerning illnesses such as tuberculosis, pneumonia, and various other respiratory conditions. He stated that vaccinations have significantly reduced many infectious diseases to nearly non-existent levels. 

The physician emphasized that all these conditions should be addressed with the highest level of diligence, utilizing the most current scientific evidence and research-based knowledge. 

V. Ramarao, President of The Federation of Senior Citizen Associations of Tamil Nadu advocated for healthcare professionals to prioritize well-being and invest in scientifically grounded solutions and a One Health Approach. To assign additional resources for healthcare overall requires increased governmental attention to geriatric care. Medical facilities.

Distinguished guest and octogenarian, R. T. Namashivayam, emphasized that all elderly individuals should maintain a highly optimistic outlook and not allow themselves to be overly concerned about age-related challenges and ailments. Make it a priority to visit isolated senior citizens and spend time with them, as this will enhance their well-being. 

S. Sankar Treasurer of the Elderly Community Association discussed the manner in which Science has transformed healthcare with respect to Disease prevention, Mental Health, Climate Change, and the enhancement of Health Literacy. Advocated for the adoption of evidence-informed healthcare. 

Promote health investigation and advancement 

Previously, the President of the Senior Citizen Forum, Mr. T. M. Sampath greeted everyone and introduced Secretary Mr. T. N. Srinivasan inaugurated the conference concerning the significance of senior citizens uniting to establish associations aimed at fulfilling the needs of the elderly. Chandra Bose and Kumaravelu of the Federation of Nanganallur Welfare Association, Badri from the Probus Club of Indra Nagar Adyar took part.

 DETERMINATION 

The assembly adopted a resolution soliciting the Government of Tamil Nadu, along with the Honorable Mayor and Commissioner of the Greater Chennai Corporation.

To provide complimentary pneumonia vaccinations in a systematic approach for seniors who are significantly impacted due to weakened immune systems.
