Blue Star launches new Unitary Cooling products

New Range of Room Air Conditioners for 2026

Blue Star Limited has launched a new range of Room Air Conditioners for Summer 2026, including 125 models that meet the latest energy efficiency standards. The collection includes various types, like inverter, fixed-speed, and window air conditioners, aimed at different customer needs and budgets. A highlight is the premium ‘Iconia’ range in a stylish Midnight Silver finish.

The ACs feature innovations such as ‘Super Energy-Efficient ACs’ with Dynamic Drive Technology, achieving significant energy efficiency. The ‘Heavy-Duty ACs’ are made to function well even in extreme temperatures, while the ‘Hot & Cold ACs’ are suitable for all-year-round comfort. Additionally, the ‘Anti-Virus Technology ACs’ improve indoor air quality by filtering harmful microbes. Almost 50 models are Smart WiFi enabled, offering various high-tech features and advanced filtration systems. The company provides a lifetime warranty on the inverter compressor, enhancing customer confidence.

To support its expanding business, Blue Star has boosted its manufacturing capacity from 1.4 million to 1.8 million units. The company operates several state-of-the-art plants with modern technologies to ensure efficient production. It is also investing in sustainable technologies, using eco-friendly refrigerants and focusing on research and development to meet environmental standards.

Blue Star's distribution network covers 900 towns with over 10,000 retail outlets in India, backed by a comprehensive service system to ensure after-sales support. The company also offers a wide range of commercial refrigeration products for multiple industries, which is currently seeing strong growth due to rising consumer demands and the expansion of food retail.

Future Prospects

Speaking to the press at a conference held in Chennai, B Thiagarajan, Managing Director, Blue Star Limited, said, “India’s cooling demand is at an inflection point, supported by favourable demographics and structural shifts in consumption. Nearly 150 million households in India are expected to be able to afford air conditioners in the future, indicating significant headroom for penetration.

The new range of Unitary Cooling products, including a comprehensive portfolio of commercial refrigeration solutions, further strengthens our ability to capitalise on the growing opportunities and expand our presence across both residential and commercial segments. By aligning our product strategy with key structural shifts, from first-time AC adoption to evolving refrigeration needs, Blue Star is well positioned to lead in the next phase of cooling demand.”
