HCLTech engages with 1,000 students across three leading Chennai engineering colleges offering insights on emerging tech and career trends

HCLTech, a leading global technology company, interacted with more than 1,000 engineering students from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Saveetha Engineering College, and Panimalar Engineering College, on future-ready technologies and emerging industry opportunities. 

Under its Campus Connect program, senior HCLTech leaders delivered focused sessions on software engineering, telecom innovation, digital platforms, cloud transformation and generative AI, offering students real-world perspectives on how these technologies are reshaping industries. 

As part of the initiative, senior HCLTech leaders, Maheswari V S, Head, Software Engineering Consulting and Solutions; Sathish Kumar M, Chief Architect; and Hema Venkata Phanindra Garimella, Associate Vice President, shared insights drawn from their extensive experience across software engineering, telecom innovation, digital platforms, cloud transformation and generative AI. 

The initiative reinforces HCLTech’s commitment to nurturing talent and strengthening industry–academia partnerships by exposing students to technology trends, practical applications and career pathways. Since the program’s launch in January 2025, HCLTech has reached more than 10,000 students across India through virtual and on‑campus engagements.

Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company Ltd have donated 1 dialysis machine and 3 defibrillators. The machine was inaugurated by   Mr. Clement Williams, Senior Vice President- FIG   and  Mr. Pawan Soni ,Chief Manager - CSR   . Mr Williams said that he had first hand experience with kidney disease and was very appreciative of the TANKER Team work. CME on Kidney Health for All

The key takeaways for people at the CME programme held Sunday November 26, 2023, with the theme ‘Kidney Health for All’ were exercise and diet, awareness, screening and timely check-ups to prevent chronic kidney disease (CKD).   Participating as the Chief Guest, Tamil Nadu Health Secretary, Mr. Gagandeep Singh Bedi, IAS, laid stress on the fact that kidney disease was increasing and there was a need for addressing the issue. He drew attention to the fact that the Tamil Nadu government scheme, ‘Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam’, (Taking Healthcare to People), checked 1 crore people for sugar and BP and the number of new cases was alarming. These are the two major reasons for kidney disease, diabetes and hypertension and so he advised eating the right kind of food, doing regular exercise and creating awareness and screening. TANKER 32nd Annual Charity and Awards Nite Celebrates Success

TANKER Foundation held its 32nd Annual Charity and Awards Nite on January 27, 2025, at Hotel Savera, RK Salai, Chennai.The program started with the Mr. Venkatesan & Mrs. Malathi Venkatesan TANKER Foundation Memorial Lecture by Mr. V. Gururajan, a 32-year post transplant survivor. He shared his personal journey, including his brother's decision to donate a kidney to him and the support he received from family and friends. He discussed how he maintains his health through diet, exercise, yoga, and meditation. Dr. Georgi Abraham, Founder Trustee of TANKER Foundation, emphasized the importance of research in preventing kidney disease, highlighting TANKER's collaborative efforts with doctors and specialists across India.
