Deloitte Private announces India’s Best Managed Companies for 2025 after rigorous evaluation process

In the fourth edition of India’s Best Managed Companies (BMC) Awards, Deloitte Private announced six winners for 2025. The winning companies are ASK Automotive Ltd, Teamlease Services Ltd., RDC Concrete (India) Ltd., Coromandel International Ltd., Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd. and Havells India Ltd. Notably, many of these companies come from tier-2 cities, a promising sign that India’s next wave of growth is emerging beyond the metros.

Of these, Coromandel International Ltd made it to the list for a second time after winning once before in 2022. In contrast, ASK Automotive Ltd and Teamlease Services Ltd. had previously won Deloitte’s coveted Enterprise Growth Awards 2025.

This year’s honorees emerged from a rigorous, multi-stage evaluation grounded in Deloitte’s globally recognised Best Managed framework. Beyond research, shortlisted companies progressed through an in-person Best Managed Lab. In this setting, industry experts examined evidence across the four pillars: strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment and governance and financials. They assessed how these areas aligned, how effectively they were executed and what outcomes were achieved. The jury then questioned and independently vetted participants, ensuring an objective, end-to-end assessment that recognises organisations combining strategic clarity with operational strength and sustainable performance.

A distinguished and diverse jury panel convened to select the winners for the 2025 awards. The panel included Kalpana Morparia, Former Chairperson of JPMorgan, South and Southeast Asia; Upendra Kumar Sinha, Former Chairperson, SEBI and retired IAS officer; N Ganapathy Subramaniam, Chairman, Tata Communications; and Harish Bijoor, Brand and Business Strategy Expert and Founder, Harish Bijoor Consults Inc. Their collective expertise and independent perspective ensured a comprehensive assessment aligned to global standards of excellence.

K. R. Sekar, Partner and Leader – Deloitte Private, Deloitte India, said, “As the programme enters its fourth year in India, what stands out is the discipline of the process, from a Stage 1 review to the in-person Best Managed Lab where evidence across the four pillars is critically examined, culminating in an independent jury evaluation. This rigour helps participants sharpen their strategy while strengthening people, productivity and innovation beyond the award night. My sincere thanks to our esteemed jury, which is comprised of Harish Bijoor, Kalpana Morparia, N. Ganapathy Subramaniam and Upendra Kumar Sinha, for their time and judgement. This year’s winners set a compelling standard for long-term value creation.”

Dhiraj Bhandary, Partner, Deloitte India, said, “The Best Managed Companies 2025 honorees exemplify how Indian private enterprises are setting new benchmarks in leadership, disciplined execution and purpose-led growth. From building resilient operating models to nurturing cultures that enable innovation at scale, these companies demonstrate that strong governance and clear strategic direction translate into durable results for stakeholders and society.”

Apart from the aforementioned winners, Coimbatore-based Kovai Medical Centre and Hospital (KMCH) and footwear brand Walkaroo International Private Ltd. were awarded the jury’s special recognition.
