Schaeffler India Launches the fourth edition of the Social Innovator Fellowship Program to empower Young Change-makers

Schaeffler India has launched its Social Innovator Fellowship Program as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative called HOPE. This program is designed to support young innovators in India who create sustainable solutions for important social and environmental issues. The fellowship will benefit 10 individuals aged 18 to 35, who will each receive a grant of INR 1.75 lakh and partake in a 24-week mentorship program at IIMA Ventures. This program aims to provide resources and guidance to help these innovators scale their ideas and broaden their impact.

Applications are open to individuals, groups, and organizations working on challenges related to environmental sustainability, renewable energy, carbon neutrality, circular economy, natural resource management, and technology application in the social sector. Applicants must show that they have a working prototype, a target market, and a plan for scaling and sustaining their projects. A thorough selection process will be conducted, involving a jury panel of Schaeffler India leaders and experts from India Accelerator. This will include screening interviews and final pitch presentations.

Mr. Harsha Kadam, Managing Director & CEO of Schaeffler India, emphasized the company's belief in innovation and sustainable development. He noted that the program aims to empower innovative young minds tackling social and environmental challenges with technology. Ms. Shibi Mathew, Head of HR and CSR, highlighted the program's goal of fostering transformative solutions that lead to stronger communities and positive changes in people's lives.

Eligible candidates can apply for the fellowship from July 30, 2025, to August 30, 2025. The application process involves registering on Buddy4Study, filling out the application form, providing necessary documents, and agreeing to the Terms & Conditions.
