Saurav Goyal to head Driver & Delivery Org for Swiggy


Swiggy Limited, India’s leading on-demand convenience platform, has shared that Saurav Goyal will now take on the role of SVP and Head-Driver & Delivery Org for Swiggy.

Saurav has been leading the Business Finance function since June 2020 and has been instrumental in achieving Swiggy’s goals over the years, by driving outcomes in partnership with the business leaders. In line with Swiggy’s focus in developing internal talent and building a future-ready organization, Saurav will now head the Driver and Delivery Org and spearhead initiatives aimed at empowering delivery partners who are one of the key pillars of Swiggy’s ecosystem.

Taking to LinkedInto reflect on his new role, he expressed enthusiasm about the new role and underscored “how delivery partners are the backbone of Swiggy’s reliability and reach.”

Speaking on the appointment, Girish Menon, CHRO, Swiggy, said, “At Swiggy, we are committed to building a resilient and truly future-ready organization. This recent transition underscores our belief in nurturing our internal talent and building leaders, for today and the future.”

Saurav also shared that he will be double hatting as Head of Business Finance until a new leader joins to take on this role. Saurav is a seasoned strategic finance and business transformation leader with over 18 years of experience across industries. He actively contributed to Swiggy’s IPO, demonstrating his expertise in navigating complex financial landscapes. His core strengths include strategic planning, operational excellence, as well as driving businesses toward sustainable profitability. Throughout his career, he has played crucial roles in leading brands such as Ola, Flipkart and Tata Communications.

The key takeaways for people at the CME programme held Sunday November 26, 2023, with the theme ‘Kidney Health for All’ were exercise and diet, awareness, screening and timely check-ups to prevent chronic kidney disease (CKD).   Participating as the Chief Guest, Tamil Nadu Health Secretary, Mr. Gagandeep Singh Bedi, IAS, laid stress on the fact that kidney disease was increasing and there was a need for addressing the issue. He drew attention to the fact that the Tamil Nadu government scheme, ‘Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam’, (Taking Healthcare to People), checked 1 crore people for sugar and BP and the number of new cases was alarming.   ICWO - Indian Community Welfare Organisation  organized the First DPL- Diplomat Cricket Tournament for Embassy, Consulate & High Commission Staff on 10 th   August 2024 at Soka Ikeda College of Arts and Science for Women, Sethu Bhaskara Nagar, Madhanangkuppam, Kolathur, Chennai. T he event aims to create high level Awareness to STOP Child Abuse, Child Trafficking, Child Marriage & Child Labour in Tamilnadu and mobilize funds for intervention to address the same.
