Grand Inauguration of the 8th National Painting Exhibition 2025


The art world is buzzing with excitement as the 8th National Painting Exhibition 2025 got inaugurated on 2nd May 2025 Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai.

Artist. G.Sridalaadevi (Secretary, Pondicherry Art Akademy) welcomed the gathering. Mrs.Premalatha Seshadri (Senior Artist-Chennai) cut the ribbon and inaugurated the exhibition. A wonderful catalogue was released by Mrs.Lakshmi Krishnamurthy (Senior Artist- Chennai) and the first copy was received by Artist.Sudha Ramen, IFS Officer (Member Secretary of State Planning Commission, Chennai) in the presence of M. Sovan Kumar,  Regional Director of the Lalit Kala Akademi and Kalaimamani. K.K.Segar, Eminent Artist (President, Pondicherry Art Akademy).


The exhibition organised by Pondicherry Art Akademy is a showcase of beautiful, creative artwork; but mainly it’s a powerful celebration of women artists, highlighting their creative voices and contributions. With 96 talented women from across India, this exhibition sets a new benchmark in promoting gender equality and artistic diversity. The art exhibition will be on view till 8th May 2025 from 10 am to 5 pm at  Lalit Kala Academy, Greams Road, Chennai.

First DPL match was won by US Consulate Staff Team

  ICWO - Indian Community Welfare Organisation  organized the First DPL- Diplomat Cricket Tournament for Embassy, Consulate & High Commission Staff on 10 th   August 2024 at Soka Ikeda College of Arts and Science for Women, Sethu Bhaskara Nagar, Madhanangkuppam, Kolathur, Chennai. T he event aims to create high level Awareness to STOP Child Abuse, Child Trafficking, Child Marriage & Child Labour in Tamilnadu and mobilize funds for intervention to address the same. A.J.Hariharan, Secretary – ICWO thanked both the US Consulate and Malaysian Consulate for their support and participation in the diplomate cricket tournament as to create an awareness about the Child Marriage, Child Trafficking & Child Labour and Child Abuse in Tamilnadu.
