Godrej Enterprises Group collaborates with EOS to Advance 3D printing capabilities for Aerospace Manufacturing in India

The Aerospace business of Godrej Enterprises Group is reinforcing its support for India’s self-reliance goal by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EOS, a leader in industrial 3D printing. This partnership will create an advanced Additive Manufacturing (AM) ecosystem for the aviation and space industries in India. This collaboration marks an important move in enhancing India’s technological progress, helping to streamline complicated manufacturing and aiming to establish the country as a top player in aerospace innovation.

The goal is to revolutionize India’s aviation and space sector through AM-driven design and production of improved products. EOS, which has the largest AM presence in the space technology field, joins forces with Godrej to build the necessary technical skills and manufacturing capacity to create a reliable AM-based supply chain for both Indian and global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Maneck Behramkamdin from Godrej emphasizes that this partnership is a strategic advancement toward future readiness. He notes that 3D printing changes aerospace design by allowing the creation of complex forms in a single process and reflects Godrej’s commitment to improving their 'Green' products and manufacturing efficiency.

Vinu Vijayan from EOS India mentions that AM has transformed the space industry by simplifying assembly processes and reducing costs. This union is especially important as India has made significant strides in space technology, highlighted by its successful missions since 1963, including reaching Mars and soft landing on the Moon. Godrej has played a key role in supporting India’s aerospace goals.
