This International Women’s Day, Godrej Consumer Products honours Women and Allies across Asia, Africa, and Latin America

Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) is dedicated to creating a fair workforce through ongoing efforts to promote meaningful change. For International Women’s Day 2025, GCPL has launched ‘WomenAlly: Allies in Action’, a month-long initiative in various regions, including Asia, Africa, and Latin America. This initiative honors individuals who are allies in promoting inclusion, fairness, and a supportive workplace for women.

GCPL will highlight its commitment to helping women through four main platforms. These include a documentary film focusing on Breaking Gender Barriers in Sales, panel discussions on Allyship at manufacturing sites, a WomenAlly event in Mumbai, and a Family Outreach Initiative to recognize women's roles in the challenging sales sector of FMCG. The company will also use this opportunity to discuss next year's plans for its programs, Godrej ki Shakti (which supports women in manufacturing) and Aarambh (which empowers women in sales).

Vaibhav Ram, Global Head of Human Resources at GCPL, commented on the initiatives for International Women’s Day, emphasizing the connection between their Allyship efforts and the UN's pillars for women's rights, equality, and empowerment. He noted that alliesfriends, family, and work partnersare vital in promoting an inclusive workplace that uplifts underrepresented groups. GCPL's programs, Godrej ki Shakti and Aarambh, are supported by these allies, helping encourage women's participation in manufacturing and sales. On this International Women’s Day, GCPL recognizes and appreciates the allies contributing to an environment where women can feel empowered to reach their potential.

GCPL is set to release a documentary that showcases how women are changing the traditionally male-dominated sales field. It explores the journeys of female employees, the challenges they faced, and their triumphs. The film emphasizes the importance of allyship and highlights how leadership at GCPL fosters an environment conducive to women's success in sales.

From sales to manufacturing, GCPL celebrates the resilience and achievements of women, along with the support that facilitates their journeys. The company will present Allyship Cards to over 170 families of women in sales, acknowledging those who support them. The Shakti Summit, a two-day event at GCPL’s headquarters in Mumbai, will further reinforce the company’s pledge to foster inclusion and change, offering personal branding sessions and inspiring discussions.

Godrej Industries Group, including GCPL, provides comprehensive care and support policies for its employees. These include paid leave for elder care and primary caregivers, flexible return options, and Employee Assistance Programs. These policies demonstrate a commitment to supporting employees' well-being both in their professional and personal lives.
