Godrej Interio Completes State-of-the-Art Office and Amenity Block for Skechers Largest Indian Warehouse

Godrej Interio, a top furniture brand in India and part of Godrej & Boyce within the Godrej Enterprises Group, has finished the interior work for the new Skechers National Distribution Center (NDC) office and amenity block. This project is important as it marks Skechers' first self-owned warehouse in India, notable for its height of 18 meters, making it one of the largest of its kind in the country. 

The project is located in Lodha Industrial Logistic Park Phase-II A1 Block, Narhen, Taloja MIDC, Navi Mumbai, covering an area of 48,670 sq. ft. The Design & Build Projects team at Godrej Interio focused on creating a space that is both innovative and functional, aligning with Skechers' brand identity and business needs. A key feature of the design is the implementation of a MS grid structure at a height of 3. 6 meters, which facilitates service installation and maintenance while achieving a ceiling height of 6. 4 meters. 

Swapneel Nagarkar, Sr. Vice President & Business Head at Godrej Interio, stated that this collaboration demonstrates their dedication to providing excellent Design & Build solutions across various sectors. The office space market in India's top eight cities reached a record 34. 7 million square feet in the first half of 2024, showing a 33% year-on-year increase, with projections exceeding 70 million square feet by the end of the year. Godrej Interio aims to enhance their team's skills and technology to manage fast-track projects efficiently, covering sectors like offices, healthcare, education, and more. Their project contributions account for 26% of their turnover in the B2B sector, with growth expected at a CAGR of 30% until FY25. 

Notable highlights of the project include a grand reception lobby, a modern office design, strategically placed cabins, a well-designed cafeteria, and adherence to sustainability guidelines. The comprehensive work covered various interior solutions, specialized areas, and essential infrastructure systems. Godrej Interio has established itself as a leader in creating functional and appealing spaces for global brands in India, completing over 1500 projects across multiple sectors with a commitment to delivering tailored interior solutions.
