"Sharvari Becomes the Face of Godrej Professional in a Major Branding Move
Godrej Professional, a prominent hair brand under Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL), has appointed Bollywood star Sharvari as its first brand ambassador. The announcement occurred during the Godrej Professional Spotlight finale, which honors hairstylists nationally. Sharvari, known for her roles in films like Munjya, Maharaj, and Vedaa, embodies the brand's focus on style, confidence, and empowerment. Her fashionable image aligns well with Godrej Professional, making her an excellent fit for the brand.
Abhinav Grandhi, General Manager of GCPL, expressed enthusiasm about Sharvari's appointment, highlighting her status as a fashion icon with a significant fan following. He stated that her connection with Godrej Professional comes during a period of growth for the brand in the hair and beauty sector.
Sharvari shared her excitement about the partnership, noting it is an honor to represent Godrej Professional. She acknowledged the brand's long-standing reputation in India and its innovative hair color products like Dimension and Colourplay. Hair plays a key role in her style, both on screen and at events, making her thrilled to represent a brand that resonates with her personal fashion sense.
During the event, Sharvari also showcased the 2025 trending hair colors and styles, presented by a creative team from Godrej Professional led by Yianni Tsapatori, Shailesh Moolya, and Najeeb-Ur-Rehman. The brand also highlighted its hair color ranges, including Dimensions and Colourplay.
In conjunction with Sharvari's introduction, Godrej Professional revealed the winners of the Spotlight competition, which featured over 400 entrants showcasing their hairstyling skills. Bhavin Bavaliya from Rajkot took First Place and a prize of INR 5 lakh, along with a chance to work with a celebrity. Priyanka Sinha from Kolkata secured Second Place with INR 2. 5 lakh, while Laltlan Kimi from Bengaluru won Third Place with INR 1. 5 lakh. The winners were chosen by a jury that included notable figures from the industry and special guest actresses.The 30 finalists participated in a certification program from the Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council, enabling them to receive government-recognized qualifications useful for securing loans for their careers. Godrej Professional Spotlight collaborates with the Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council and the Professional Beauty Hairdressers Journal India.
