Kamatchi wins gold and bronze in Asian sports, makes Tamil Nadu proud

Kamatchi is a Ph.D. Scholar at the Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be the University of Chennai). She won 2 Gold medals in the traditional and Group events and 1 bronze medal in the artistic pair event in the 2nd Asian Yogasana Sports Championship 2023, organised by the Yogasana Sports Federation of Thailand in collaboration with the Yoga Sports Federation of India under the auspices of the Asian Sports Yogasana Federation and Sharvaya Yoga International.

The Championship took place in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2023. The competition ended with a spectacular closing ceremony in Bangkok, Thailand, attended by various higher authorities from different countries.With this historic triumph, Yoga Kamatchi had set a new standard by making this competition one of the biggest events in the field of yoga. Competitors from 12 countries took part in this championship, including India, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Iran, etc.


The competition was intense, and by returning with three medals, Yoga Kamatchi has started a new chapter in the history of Yoga in India. This proves Yoga Kamatchi's dedication and commitment to yoga, and she surely is a motivation for rural talents in India.
