Glorious contributions of the Anglo-Indian community were recalled

To mark the 383rd Madras Day celebration an interesting and informative talk on the theme “Reminiscing about the contributions of the Anglo-Indians to Madras and the Madrasis” was held on 22nd August 2022 at Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School, Cochin House, Anderson Road, Chennai.

The chief guest Mr.V.Sriram, Editor of Madras Musings speaking on the occasion mentioned about the glorious contributions of the Anglo-Indian community to the nation. Harry MacLure, of Anglos In The Wind, international magazine, Dr.Roy Rozario, Anglo-Indian Suburban Front Founder, Shyamala Jayaprakash, Chairperson and Jyothi Menon, Principal of Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School together with members of the Anglo-Indian associations were present on the occasion.

The special highlight of the function was a wonderful dance performance by the students which was enjoyed by everyone. Richard O'Connor, Asst. Commissioner of Customs and GST in Tamil Nadu while appreciating the amazing dancing and singing by the students stated that today’s Anglo Indian youngsters are doing well in the society.
