Government encouragement is Important for Art and Artist Development

 

Kalaichemmal B.R.Annapillai, Founder of Tamil Nadu Arts & Crafts Improvement Association and Ex General Council Member, National Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi has 50 years of service in rural art field and artist development. As a special grade Art Master he has conducted and participated in Annual exhibitions, Group shows Artists camps etc. B.R.Annapillai established the Artists’ Village at Padappai. 

Veteran Artist B.R.Annapillai aged 88 years having 50 years of service in rural art field stated that the Government should do a lot more for the welfare of the artists and encouraging art culture to flourish. He further stated that the Government can encourage and support the artists by providing grants, giving awards etc. Veteran artist B.R.Annapillai resides at Kodambakkam.
