DIVYANJALI’S “JAI HANUMAN” will be released on 25th April 2021

 

Divyanjali Dance School headed by Dr. S. Divyasena will be premiering a unique virtual dance production in collaboration with Vasu Digitals - “Jai Hanuman”. The production, conceptualised and choreographed by Dr. S. Divyasena, features Hanuman Chalisa, the famous hymn penned by the 16th century poet - Tulsidas. Interweaving swaras and jathis with the lyrics, Jai Hanuman will be a visual treat for art connoisseurs. 

Divyanjali Dance School was established in 1994 by Dr. S. Divyasena. Since then, it has been instrumental in producing many successful dance teachers and performers. Celebrating its 27th year since inception, Divyanjali has taken a big step forward in the digital platform. 

Jai Hanuman was shot over a period of 5 days at various serene locations across Andhra Pradesh. The production team, headed by Sri N Vasu Prasad has collaborated with Divyanjali in this venture. The team was supported by Sri Ramakrishnan on technical direction and Sri Ganta Srinivas and Sri Shekar Babu on cinematography. The camera team included Sri Vishnu Yadhav, Sri Poorna Ganesh, Sri Venkat, Sri Mahesh, Sri Raj Kumar G and the audio team included Sri Ganesh Kumar P. Sri Nagaraj, Sri Naresh, Sri Srinivas and Sri Ramesh assisted the crew.

The music composition by Sri Ramesh Jetty has been ably brought to reality by vocalist Pozhakkudi Sri G R Praveen who was supported by Sri B P Haribabu on Mridangam, Sri T Bhavani Prasad on Veena, Sri K Ganesan on Violin and Sri Mohanraj on Flute. Nattuvangam and dance choreography was done by Dr. S. Divyasena. The mixing and mastering of the composition was done by Sri Anish Mohan at Atrium Sound Studios. 

The composition has been performed by students of Divyanjali. Dr. S. Divyasena performed as Sitadevi and dancer, Sri Shabin as Hanuman, Sri Anandaraj as Lord Rama and Tulsidas, Sri Sumodh as Lakshamana and Kum. Adhvikaa, Kum. Aiswarya, Kum. Avannthi, Kum. Mahati, Kum. Monika, Smt. Roopa, Kum. Sneha and Kum. Upanisha as dancers. The performers were assisted on make up by Smt. Lakshmi and Smt. Devi, and costumed by Smt. Shanthi. 

Owing to the lockdown restrictions, Jai Hanuman will be released virtually in Divyanjali’s Youtube Channel on 25th April (Sunday). The release function, which will be streamed as a Youtube Live Video will feature a special speech by renowned researcher, speaker and writer - Sri U Ve Dushyanth Sridhar. The chief guest panel will include Sri. V. V. Sundaram (Co-founder & Secretary of Aradhana Committee), Smt. Nandini Ramani (Veteran Bharatanatyam exponent & Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee) and Sri. Jaikishore Mosalikanti (renowned Kuchipudi exponent & Founder - Shivamohanam). Adapting to the trend of spreading art through online medium, Divyanjali has embarked upon a creative endeavour along a divine journey. Jai Hanuman will be premiering this Sunday in Divyanjali’s Youtube Channel.

  2. Dance is an art that has been around for centuries. Divyanjali Dance Academy came across this song; they wanted to create something unique with their students. Since I am also learning dance at Geethalayam Bharatanatyam, I can understand the difficulties they must have undergone. I sincerely congratulate them for having managed to organize such a wonderful virtual treat during this lockdown.
